In the course of using the ODK Services, we collect and may ask you to provide us or you may otherwise have the ability to provide us with, certain personal information (i.e. information that can be used, alone or together with other information, to uniquely identify you personally) "Personal Information").
"Non-Personally Identifiable Information" is information that cannot be used to uniquely identify you personally. Some examples of Non-Personally Identifiable Information include the type of browser software you use when visiting our site and the date and time you visit our site.
A. Categories and Types of Personal Information
We collect the following categories and types of Personal Information:
Contact Information : your first and last name, your phone number, home address, business address, shipping address (if different from home address or business address) and email address;
Other identifying information : IP address, your social media user names;
Financial Information : credit card or other billing information;
Geolocation data : device geolocation data;
Demographic information : date of birth and gender (if you provide to social media platforms);
Internet or other electronic activity : your browsing and click history, including information about how you navigate within our services and which elements of our services you use the most, browser type, the web page you were visiting before you came to one of the Sites and information you search for on a Site;
Commercial information : content viewed on our website and purchase history from the ODK Shop;
Preferences : details that you provide to us about your interests, your communication preferences; and
Inferences : inferences drawn from the categories described above in order to create a profile about you to reflect your preferences, characteristics, behavior and attitude.

C. Sources of Personal Information
We collect information from the following sources:
We collect information directly from you. We collect contact, financial, certain identifying information and demographic information directly from you.
We collect information about you from third parties. We collect your contact information and certain identifying data from third parties, such as social media sites. For example, if you access the ODK Services via a third-party platform or service account (e.g., by logging in to the ODK Services using your Facebook account credentials) and/or integrate your ODK account with your third-party platform account, we may collect certain information from such third-party platform, such as your username and other information you provided to such platform in connection with your account (e.g., name, country, date of birth, gender and e-mail address).
We collect information from you passively. We collect Internet or other electronic activity passively using tools like browser cookies, web beacons and tracking pixels, SDKs and other similar technologies. This activity is further described in Section 5 (User Choices Regarding Cookies and Advertising Identifiers) below
The ODK Services are not directed to children and ODK does not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with Personal Information without their consent, he or she should contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with Personally Identifiable Information, we will delete such information from our files. California users under the age of 18 may request the removal of their content or information publicly posted on the Sites or Services by e-mailing us at email@example.com. Please note that most of the user content that appears on our Site or Services is stored and controlled by third party providers; thus, complete and comprehensive removal of the content may not be possible.
By registering with ODK, you consent to receiving periodic notifications including: ODK updates and newsletters, relevant account notifications, ODK group/buddy invitations, order/download confirmations and private message notifications. In addition to these you may opt-in to notifications including: media subscriptions and group updates. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive such marketing or promotional communications, please follow the unsubscribe instructions provided in any of the communications. If you are a registered user of the ODK Services, you may also opt-out of receiving such communications by adjusting your preferences in your account. Please note that we may still send you emails regarding changes to our policies or in connection with a purchase via the ODK Services or other purposes specifically relating to your account and/or use of the ODK Services.
a. Third Parties. We will not share or sell your Personally Identifiable Information with other organizations for their marketing or promotional uses without your express consent.
b. Subscriber Members Sharing: Please be aware that when you register to become an ODK member, other users of the ODK Services may be able to see your screen or user name, in addition to any comments or submissions that you post to the Sites or submit via the ODK Services.. Any information you choose to provide in a comment or a submission should reflect how much you want other users to know about you. We recommend that you guard your anonymity and sensitive information and we encourage ODK members to think carefully about what information about themselves they disclose in their comments or submissions
c. Aggregate Information and Non-Identifying Information. We may share Non-Personally Identifiable Information and Log Data with third parties for industry analysis, demographic profiling, and to deliver targeted advertising about other products and services. Any aggregated information shared in these contexts will not contain your Personal Information. "Log Data" means information that our servers automatically record about you, which may include, but is not limited to, your computer's Internet Protocol address, browser type, the web page you were visiting before you came to one of the Sites and information you search for on a Site. When a user downloads the ODK Player, we may record that a download took place. When you launch the ODK Player on a website our servers may automatically record Log Data. When the ODK Player checks for new updates, it may also automatically send version number and operating system information to our servers.
d. Service Providers. We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate the ODK Services, to provide the ODK Services on our behalf, to perform services related to administration of the ODK Services (including, without limitation, bill and credit card payment processing, maintenance, hosting and database management services, web analytics and administration). These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
e. Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement. ODK cooperates with government and law enforcement officials and private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We will disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims and legal process (including but not limited to subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of ODK or a third party, to protect the safety of the public or any person, or to prevent or stop any activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical, inappropriate or legally actionable.
f. Business Transfers. ODK may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your Personal Information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy or similar insolvency event.
g. Group Entities. We may disclose your Personal Information to other group entities that are affiliates and/or subsidiaries or parents of ODK Media, Inc. in order to provide you with tailored products, services and communications or in accordance with our internal policies or administrative or business practices.
Like many websites, we use "cookies" to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer's hard disk for record-keeping purposes. We use "persistent cookies" to save your username and login password for future logins to the Sites. We use "session ID cookies" to enable certain features of the ODK Services, to better understand how you interact with the ODK Services and to monitor web traffic routing on the Sites and aggregate usage of the ODK Services. You can instruct your browser, by changing its options, to stop accepting cookies or to prompt you before accepting a cookie from the websites you visit. If you do not accept cookies, however, you may not be able to use all portions of the Sites or all functionality of the ODK Services. Your information relating to your use of the ODK Services may be combined with information relating to your other online activities over time and across different websites (including those operated by third parties) and devices.
We and our service providers may also use other technologies that are similar to cookies, such as browser storage and plugins and web beacons (also known as clear gifs or pixel tags). Like cookies, some of these technologies may store small amounts of data on your device. We may use these and various other technologies for similar purposes as cookies, such as to enforce our terms, prevent fraud, and analyze the use of the ODK Service. There are various ways to exercise choice regarding these technologies. For example, many popular browsers provide the ability to clear browser storage, commonly in the settings or preferences area; see your browser's help function or support area to learn more.
The information collected or received by our third party advertising service providers may be used to show you targeted advertisements for products and services that you might be interested in, on the ODK Services and on third party websites and services. This information may also be used to prevent you from seeing the same advertisements too many times and to conduct research regarding the usefulness of certain advertisements to you. Please note that, in order to opt out of receiving interest-based advertising on the App, you may need to adjust your mobile device's settings. The ODK Services currently do not take action in response to "do not track signals".We use Google Analytics on the Sites and ODK Services to analyze how users use the Sites and ODK Services, and to provide advertisements to you on other websites. ODK is concerned with safeguarding your information. We employ a variety of industry-standard measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access. These measures are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risks of processing your Personal Information. Unfortunately, no measures can be guaranteed to provide 100% security. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information.
If you are a California resident, you have certain privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA Rights"). This section describes those rights and how you can exercise them with ODK.

Please note that if we delete your Personal Information, some of our services may not work the same. For example, your previous opt out requests will not be saved, you will not have an account, and saved preferences and information will no longer be available. We may retain an archived copy of your records as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

In order to verify your identity, we will need three of the following pieces of information: your first and last name, email address, account ID, last program watched and last purchase date (for ODK Shop). In order to designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf you must provide the authorized agent with written permission to do so, and your authorized agent must submit that written proof at the time they make the request on your behalf. If you wish to make multiple requests under this section, we recommend sending the deletion request last, as we will not be able to fulfill your other requests once we have deleted your information.

We participate in digital advertising networks to deliver advertising that is tailored to your interests. The participation in certain ad networks can constitute a "sale" of Personal Information under CCPA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA Rights and we will not deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, or provide you with a lesser quality of goods or services if you exercise any of your CCPA Rights.
The Services contain links to other websites. If you choose to visit an advertiser by "clicking on" a banner ad or other type of advertisement, or click on another third party link, you will be directed to that third party's website. The fact that we link to a website or present a banner ad or other type of advertisement is not an endorsement, authorization or representation that we are affiliated with that third party, nor is it an endorsement of their privacy or information security policies or practices. We do not exercise control over third party websites. These other websites may place their own cookies or other files on your computer, collect data or solicit Personal Information from you. Other websites and services follow different rules regarding the use or disclosure of the Personal Information you submit to them.
